Startup Delayer - Spped up you PC!

The power to speed up your computer's startup process!

Can you learn another language in the time it takes for your machine to boot? Do you turn on your PC when you go to bed, so it's finished booting by the time you get home from work the next day?

When Windows loads it's Startup file, it attempts to load every program in there at the same time. Therefore if you have quite a lot of programs starting when Windows starts, each program will try and grab CPU time so that it can load.

If each program tries to do this at the same time, you soon notice the slow down that occurs, due to your CPU trying to help all the programs to load, and your hard disk accessing multiple files.

Startup Delayer allows you to setup how many seconds after Windows has started, to load each program.

For Example:
If you have your mail program and a special clock starting up, then you can make your mail start say 10 seconds after Windows has loaded, and then the special clock start 20 seconds after Windows Starts.

Compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/XP64/Vista

  • Access it from your TV, STB, game consoles and mobile devices
  • Click to watch a demo video

    Download

    Release 1.0 RC6 (January 3, 2009)

    Before you install

New users should refer to the Quick Start guide before installing the software!
Existing users may want to learn what’s new in the latest release.

    Minimum System Requirements

  • Pentium III 700 Mhz or better (Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz with support for Hyper Threading is recommended)
  • 128 MB of memory or more (512 MB recommended)
  • 50 MB of disk space (At least 1 GB of free space is recommended for cache area of transcoded media)
  • Windows XP / 2000 / 2003 / Vista (only with UAC disabled)
  • DirectX 9.0 or higher
  • Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher
  • For transcoding to WMV (Xbox 360) WMP11 is required (Win2k and Win2K3 users need the Microsoft codecs from the Ace Codec Pack instead)
  • Xbox 360 users will need the 2006 Fall upgrade from Microsoft in order to browse videos from their computer via TVersity.
  • Audio enabled on the computer running the software
  • Macromedia Flash version 7 or higher for the GUI

Additional Notes

  • The minimum requirements will allow real-time transcoding of media files with bitrates up to 300-400 kbps. Higher bitrates will require faster machines.
  • Media files that do not require transcoding, i.e. can be played by the media hub as is, will work well on systems meeting the minimum requirements, disregarding their bitrate, and in fact can even work on slower machines.
  • Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz with support for Hyper Threading and with 512 MB of memory is recommended for real-time transcoding of standard definition video (e.g. WMV 720×480 1.5Mbps).
  • Dual core or dual CPU systems with 1 Gbyte of memory are required for real-time transcoding of high definition video.
  • Non real-time transcoding of any bitrate video can be done on any machine, with the speed of the machine determining the time it takes to complete the transcoding.
  • Transcoding of some file formats require the installation of third party directshow filters that are compatible with TVersity.
