No sound on playing Youtube movies

This problem came out at my friend's pc,

Problem Description:
Can't hear sound when playing a youtube movie.

Solution:
1) Check if youtube is muted

Youtube is muted (the red muted speaker):

Youtube volume is max (the red speaker):

2) check your volume, maybe it is muted :)
3) Can you hear sound when playing mp3 or other media from you pc?
If not, you should install Codecs
If installing these codecs didn't help much you need to check you sound driver (device manager on "control panel")
4) get in to , do you see the movie and hear it's sound? if not Download Flash Player 10 now
5) try to edit regisrty items (on your own risk!)

All you need to do is to open registry editor by going to Start menu, Run, typing regedit and then Enter. After that, in the registry editor, walk yourself through the tree in the left pane, till you reach
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Win dows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
And then on the right pane, right click and click on New, select String value, enter "wavemapper" (without quots of course), right click > MODIFY> ENTER "msacm32.drv" in Value Data, ENTER.
Close the editor. No need to restart. Video on Google and YouTube et al would work fine now.
Thanks to the member who pointed out the key. I just mentioned the procedure.
this worked for me. so incase anyone else has a problem in the future, this is how to fix this bug.
